How Are the Signs Made?
The artwork for the lettering and the sign outline are generated on a computer and the signs are carved on a CNC router.
The signs are Made to Order so the following can be customized:
- Sign Text: The text is specified by you. We recommend 12 characters or less otherwise the text size must be reduced.
- Sign Colour: Standard stain colours are brown and/or grey. Other colours available by special request.
- If you leave the colour UNSPECIFIED, we will choose a combination of browns and greys that look great together and match the wood texture.
- Sign Direction: Chose if sign points to the Left or Right
Sign Materials and Finishes?
- Signs are made from knotty pine.
- Wood is hand selected to give unique wood grain appearance and reduce the number of knots in the wood.
- Unique sign outlines
- We cut the signs from 10 different arrow styles so that each sign will look unique when combining several signs together for a natural look.
- Lettering
- Text is engraved into the wood, not painted.
- Fonts are chosen to match the theme of the sign text
- Finishing
- Combinations of brown and grey stains are used to create a rustic, weathered look.
- Colours may vary from the pictures shown.
- Colour is chosen based on the wood selected.
- If you have a colour preference, please add a comment. Example: “prefer dark brown” or “prefer light grey”
- Water based clear coat
- Seals wood so it can be used outdoors
Sign Mounting
- Signs come standard with sawtooth handers for wall hanging
- Can be screwed to a post or wall
- Conduit clamps work well for mounting to round posts, dowels or floor lamps
- Size
- Length 16in x Width 3-3/4in
